I was a bit concerned that we just weren’t going to have the same stellar bite that we had last Fall and Winter. Really, it isn’t quite as good as it was but the main difference is that last year we caught limits of Trout on every trip for nearly 4 months! This year it just hasn’t been that way but this weekend proved to be on fire with 45 fish in the box in about 2 hours.
Sometimes these little cold snaps turn our little spotted friends on and the fish whacking ensues. The Redfish bite has been persistent with some fat pigs being caught on the flats and smaller rats around the shells.
I’ve shot out some emails to some of my regulars that have been waiting for me to sound the alarm. If you want to get out there too just give me a shout.
Tight lines!
