Yesterday I had Hunt and Presley on the boat with their dads for a four hour trip. The weather was a little sketchy so we decided to stay close to shelter and hit some Trout fishing drops.
After making a couple of spots with little action we went to an old school Trout fishing spot. I’ve fished this spot since I was a kid and new there had been some nice fish there recently. We pulled up and the corks started going down. There was mix of bigger Trout up to 19 inches and smaller ones. The kids did great and were putting fish in the boat with little assistance.
When the tide turned the bite slowed down a little bit but we still managed to pick up a few fish in the slow current. It was a great day in lousy weather.
