St. Simons Sunrise

HUGE Announcement!

TJ Cheek Fishing Reports, General 4 Comments

Hello everyone, I want you to know first off that this is Capt. TJ writing this post. The last 10 years have been amazing, though filled with extreme highs and extreme lows. This company was my baby and the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. However, times change and we all make choices. In this case I’ve made the choice to sell The Georgia Fishing Company.
Before we go any further, I want you to know that you can still book every last one of the guides here, including me. We are all staying on either at full capacity or at the very least in a limited roll. All of us agree that this was the best course of action and I’m actually very excited about the future. If you have already made a reservation with us, it is still valid and will be with the same guide you booked. Nothing has changed there.
I didn’t want to just sell this company to a new guide or someone looking to step into the business. I wanted it to belong to someone that was experienced and demonstrated a long term commitment to the sport and providing excellent service to their clients. I went to one company, and only one company to offer GFC for sale; Southeastern Angling with captains Scott Owens and Rob Aldridge. We were able to work a deal that everyone seemed happy with and I couldn’t be more thrilled.
I’m looking forward to getting away from the back-end tasks of the fishing business and being able to focus on my original passion of just plain ol’ fishing. In the last decade I’ve been praised and cursed, given credit for great bites and blamed for bad weather, blown engines, been stranded on sandbars, guided clients to their first fish as well as their last fish, and known victory and defeat in so many areas.
Making this company tick has been my life’s work to this point but now I’m looking forward to new projects and adventures while still providing the best experience I can for my fishing clients.
On behalf of myself, my family, Capt. Tim, Capt. Jeff, and Beth, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the laughs, tears, memories, and experiences that we’ve shared through the connections made by our common passion for the waters of the Golden Isles. We’re truly honored and grateful.
Without further delay, allow me to introduce you to the new owners of The Georgia Fishing Company.

Capt. Rob Aldridge

  1. I’d like to get some information about fishing for redfish and other varieties Ford for January February March 2021 I’m gonna Florida resident and I travel to North Carolina back-and-forth a lot and I’d like to book a weekday trip

  2. We are going to be in Brunswick for a week around the fourth of July. Can we catch some shrimp? What would it cost for a half or full day trip? We are from Idaho so taking meat home would be difficult. Looking for info? Thanks
