St. Simons Island Trout Fishing Report

Well, if you keep up with my site you know that I usually don’t go this long between fishing reports. The fact is that the weather has been so horrible that there really hasn’t been much to write about. This week is the first time that we have had consecutive days of good weather in the last 3 weeks.

With that being said, the Trout bite is on! If you fished with me last year around this time you probably remember catching limits of Trout in a matter of minutes. It’s not quite that good this year but we have been able to get on the Trout quite easily. I haven’t had the chance to fish a lot of my regular stops since the weather has been so bad, but I would imagine that if I am able to fish unrestricted that we can do some serious damage.

The Redfish are still plentiful and there are plenty of Sheepshead and Black Drum around. Of course, I don’t keep Redfish but if you are look to stretch your string I know where to find them!

Myself and a couple of buddies are planning to go offshore fishing tomorrow if the weather holds up. If all goes well I will give you an offshore fishing report after that.

The reports might be a little thin and repetitive for a couple of months since not a lot will change between now and when the water begins to warm again but I will be sure to keep you in the loop.

Tight lines!

TJ
