Fall/Early Winter Fishing Reprot 11/18/2024
The cool weather is upon us and the fishing here in the Golden Isles and St.Simons Island is firing up! The inshore fishing is at its best this time of year with cooling water temperatures fish turn on as they prepare for the winter months ahead.
Whether throwing corks with live bait, working artificials or casting flies fish seem eager to bite what ever is put in front of them.
Spinning
The cork fishing is always a sure way to entice the fish to eat. But this time of year it’s always fun to work the artificials along banks for sea trout, reds and flounder.
Fly
The sight fishing aspect of fishing here is about as good as it gets for the year. Lower water tempts and good tides have the redfish all schooled up in the shallows and ready to destroy what ever you throw at them.
