SIMONS ISLAND GEORGIA OFFSHORE FISHING REPORT
Georgia
Fishing around the offshore reefs has been, and will
continue to be excellent through the remainder of Winter
and into the Spring months. It has been excellent all
season long when the seas have allowed.. See our fishing
videos below for info on these types of fishing trips
and charters from st. simons island. Right now, the fish
are stacked between 10 and 20 miles offshore in good numbers
most times. Several types of reef dwellers are likely
to be caught. We will set sights on HUGE Sheepshead, Black
Sea Bass, Cobia and more in 2010!
Above, GREAT
EATING SEA BASS!! Don't let their size fool you.... These
hard fighting black sea bass not only put up a great fight
on light fishing tackle, their possibly the best eating
fish on the ocean floor. In fact, I don't think anyone
will argue that fact! Georgia offers some of the best
sea bass fishing in the world. Period. All Winter and
Spring are the best times to catch sea bass. Don't miss
out while the fishing is HOT for black bass! Catching
over 50 fish is common on a 6 hour trip, and up to 100
fish on a full day fishing charter...
As seen above,
load the cooler in Spring 2010 with "Reef Bandits"

SIMONS ISLAND GEORGIA NEARSHORE FISHING REPORT
A bit closer
to shore, fishermen continue to load their coolers with
great eating Whiting, Bluefish, Sandtrout and more not
far from the Beach. Fun to catch, great eating and almost
always wlling to bite, makes this trip a top pick if offshore
fishing is not an option for you, or if you get sea sick
easily. Also, the best bang for your buck? TRIPLE TAIL
FISHING. Sight casting to triple tail off St. Simons Island
is the most fun you can have... It's almost as good as
Turkey hunting! See the video below on triple tail fishing.

SIMONS ISLAND GEORGIA INSHORE FISHING
In the rivers
and sounds, the Trout and Redfish are always willing to
bite from fall to spring each season in coastal georgia
around St. Simons island, Jekyll Island and Sea Island.
Sometimes, a bit of running time and loking around is
required to catch good numbers of Trout, but it's worth
it and they're a blast to catch on ultra light fishing
tackle.

Simons Island Georgia Shark Fishing Charters: The
Georgia Coast offers shark fishing charters like no other.
They prowl the channels and sandbar areas in droves while
charter fishing off St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island
in coastal Georgia. This prehistoric fish is legendary
for its fighting ability. Some fisherman catch their first
shark by accident, when they catch a fish and a shark
tries to take it way from him, getting hooked in the process.
Sharks can be sight-fished and will go after bait in certain
areas. Many people catch sharks on fishing charters just
for fun, taking video and photos of the battle and then
release them. Georgia shark fishing charters are becoming
very well known about as an estuary and breeding ground
for many shark species between st. simons island and jekyll
island georgia.
St.
Simons Island Georgia Tarpon Fishing Charters: This
silver giant is not easy to catch and not easy to get
to the boat. But hooking one will give you the thrill
of a lifetime. They are strong, and have been known to
fight for hours. They respond best to chum and live bait
and are sometimes difficult to get on the line. Tarpon
show up most plentifully from May through late September
in Coastal Georgia around St. Simons Island and Sea Island
for best charter fishing action.
St.
Simons Island Bull Redfishing Charters: St. Simons
Island Fishing charters for Bull Redfish as they swarm
the Coastal Georgia beaches to spawn during the late Summer
and Fall season each year. These ever popular large, brutal
fighters are well known in the Coastal Georgia area near
St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island and Sea Island. Roaming
the breakers just a mile off the beach of St. Simons Island
and Sea Island makes them a prime target for charter fishing
anglers looking to catch the Bull Redfish of a lifetime.
Coastal Georgia is just the place to break you personal
best Redfish record!
