ST. SIMONS ISLAND GEORGIA OFFSHORE FISHING REPORT
Georgia Fishing around the offshore reefs has been, and will continue to be excellent through the remainder of Winter and into the Spring months. It has been excellent all season long when the seas have allowed.. See our fishing videos below for info on these types of fishing trips and charters from st. simons island. Right now, the fish are stacked between 10 and 20 miles offshore in good numbers most times. Several types of reef dwellers are likely to be caught. We will set sights on HUGE Sheepshead, Black Sea Bass, Cobia and more in 2010!

Above, GREAT EATING SEA BASS!! Don't let their size fool you.... These hard fighting black sea bass not only put up a great fight on light fishing tackle, their possibly the best eating fish on the ocean floor. In fact, I don't think anyone will argue that fact! Georgia offers some of the best sea bass fishing in the world. Period. All Winter and Spring are the best times to catch sea bass. Don't miss out while the fishing is HOT for black bass! Catching over 50 fish is common on a 6 hour trip, and up to 100 fish on a full day fishing charter...

ST. SIMONS ISLAND GEORGIA NEARSHORE FISHING REPORT
A bit closer to shore, fishermen continue to load their coolers with great eating Whiting, Bluefish, Sandtrout and more not far from the Beach. Fun to catch, great eating and almost always wlling to bite, makes this trip a top pick if offshore fishing is not an option for you, or if you get sea sick easily. Also, the best bang for your buck? TRIPLE TAIL FISHING. Sight casting to triple tail off St. Simons Island is the most fun you can have... It's almost as good as Turkey hunting! See the video below on triple tail fishing.

ST. SIMONS ISLAND GEORGIA INSHORE FISHING
In the rivers and sounds, the Trout and Redfish are always willing to bite from fall to spring each season in coastal georgia around St. Simons island, Jekyll Island and Sea Island. Sometimes, a bit of running time and loking around is required to catch good numbers of Trout, but it's worth it and they're a blast to catch on ultra light fishing tackle.
